MLM stands for multi level marketing. MLM is also called network marketing or direct marketing. Different names, but they all mean the same thing. So what is a MLM company?

A MLM company is a business model or system of selling products by recruitment, and the training of individual distributors. If you are part of a MLM company then you own your own business, in the ways that you are responsible for the money that you make.

There are 2 basic ways to make money in a MLM company. You can sell the products that the company sells, and you can recruit people under you and you make a percentage of what they make plus what you have sold in product.

Many people think that MLM companies are scams, and that it is impossible to make money with these sort of companies. This is not true.

But you need to make sure that you are selling a product that people want. Internet mlm products and products are very good right now!

Some products are to expensive for the value they offer. So do some research before joining a MLM company and make sure that you believe in the product before trying to sell it.

Now that you know what a MLM company is you can decide if this type of business plan to get into. As with anything the effort you put into something is what you will get out of it.
