Let’s spend a minute and talk about ways to advertise online. I decided to spend $200 and buy one share in the Abunza English Co-op they are running in March. This gives me 250,000 Abunza banner impressions on the Drudgereport.com. The Drudge Report is a very high traffic political website.

This is not a website targeting home business seekers, but the type of people who frequent it are people who have the means to join Abunza if they want. I just looked at it and Warren Buffet has an ad on the top of the page.

Anyway there are so many different ways to advertise online that here is the mistake I make and most people make.

They all chase a very small pool of people. When everyone is writing articles about affiliate marketing and submitting them to EzineArticles.com this is a very narrow approach to advertising online.

Most people are looking for free ways to promote. Nothing wrong with that, except it is a very crowded group all trying to get people to spend money buying their products and joining their program. It is a tough sell because this group consists primarily of people who do not have money and can not spend money.

So they ask their prospects to do what they won’t. Spend a few months, or even years, never earning more than a few hundred dollars a month online this way and see how discouraging that can be!

Here are 2 key things I want to get across in this article.

1. Find ways to advertise beyond the home business niche. You can find people to join your opportunity in places other than where everyone else already is.

2. Find products to sell that can get you out of the internet marketing tools niche. There is a big world out there with money they are spending everyday beyond this niche. For example I like Abunza because of the travel rewards. This appeals to people who would like to travel!

If you broaden your view on promoting online and you expand your product line a little you will be happier when you finally start making some good money with your internet business! I think this means including ways to advertise online that may mean spending some money and not just always looking for free advertising all of the time.
