Many of us use article marketing to get backlinks to our website or blog. I know in my case I pay attention to how I am doing on Google.

I use Google Analytics to view which keywords my Team-Schuman site is being found from. Currently this is over 3000 keyword phrases. My goal is to double that because this is free traffic.

I use Google Alerts to get updates on specific keyword phrases and then I use the free Google Keyword tool to search for words to target based on the alerts Google sends me.

This article is an example of that. I am receiving an alert on “article marketing” which is actually links to several articles in one email. These are alerts for news and for blog articles Google has found. This is another great free service Google provides.

One that caught my eye was by Pooja Gupta titled“Quickly Create Content On The Fly” which takes a closer look at Google and their feeling on duplicate content and using a content spinner to come up with content that is unique.

His whole point is just changing synonyms is not good enough anymore. I agree with that. I also agree that you should keep the content on your site and blog unique. You will be rewarded if you do by ranking better for your targeted keyword phrases and the free traffic you get from it.

The same can apply if you use article marketing to drive traffic to your site. The chances of being published in more articles directories go up if the content you are giving them has not been published online already.
