Here is something I struggle with. I love to work online and I guess I may be an IM addict. That is I find myself checking email between quarters of a basketball game. And even on Sunday I get up and write articles, reply to email, post in my blogs, submit to social directories, etc. etc.

Here is my question, Is this a good idea? To work 7 days a week I mean! Or would it be better to take a day off? In my case I work for myself full time and find that I get distracted during the day by other things thanks to my wife, my kid, and my dog. This makes it hard to get a consistent work flow going.

I do not like starting and stopping so I am considering going to a graveyard shift and working 9:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m. and sleeping during the day. Getting up around 5:00 p.m. Doing whatever I want for 4 hours including walking the dog around 8:00 at night this summer and walking her around 7:00 in the morning.

I would work for 10 hours with minimal breaks and I would not work on Sat. and Sun. If I can adjust to the change in sleep habits this might just work. I think I would get more done when I am working and getting away on the weekends just might be refreshing. The only problem might be I could get the shakes from not logging online for 48 hours

I think we all need time off. If you work a job you do not do it 7 days a week. Internet marketing can start as a hobby and it is a lot of fun. The key is not to burn out on it. Keep it fresh and take a little time and get away once in a while. We’ll see how that works for me.
