Social Media Marketing Strategy

In this article I want to go over the value to you of creating a social media marketing strategy for your business. This is very easy to do and can be a great way to develop relationships with potential customers, as well as a tremendous source of traffic for your Internet business.

Social Media refers to activities that integrate technology, social interaction, and the construction of words, pictures, videos and audio. The internet is perfect for this as the various ways you communicate online today have gone far beyond emailing or having a website.

Doug Firebaugh is someone I remember from a few years back as being a tremendous mlm trainer and teacher. He wrote an article I saw in The American Chronicles titled “Social Media Marketing Success- Three Steps on How To Maximize Your Efforts” which I really enjoyed!

It did a very good job of encouraging anyone regardless of their skill level right now to get involved in social media! There is going to be a small learning curve to this, but it is well worth the effort to do so.

Examples of social media today include blogging, social bookmarking, social networking, videos, podcasts, webinars, audio, and much more. Websites like YouTube, Facebook, Stumbleupon, Twitter, Propeller, OnlyWire, WordPress, and countless others are fast becoming the leaders in social media marketing.

Creating a social media marketing strategy does not have to be difficult either. For example,you could blog and social bookmark your blog post. One way to do that would be to bookmark to multiple directories using Onlywire.com, and then individually bookmark to Technorati, Propeller, Digg, Stumbleupon, Google Bookmarks, Yahoo Bookmarks, and Windows Live.

Then create a shortened URL for your blog posts at TinyURL.com. Create a Twitter.com account and post your Tinyurl as an update, so that people who follow you can see you have made an update and check it out.

Because a blog articles only needs to be in the 250 to 300 word range, you can write an article and do this whole bookmarking process in less than 30 minutes.

The advantages to creating a marketing strategy using social media in this manner includes search engine bait, which can lead to long term traffic from search engines, as well as getting traffic from various social directories,.

My suggestion is you find something that appeals to you in the social media marketing arena and give it a try. Eventually you will find what works well for you, and then you can build your Internet business on the benefits of having a social media marketing strategy.

    No question that having a social media marking strategy is very good for your internet business not from a promotional standpoint but from a backlink standpoint.
