This should include marketing online and offline and yet most do not use the internet correctly.

With so many marketing methods available for you to use, without a marketing plan, you will soon find that trying to find the right marketing methods can be almost impossible. A marketing plan can help you find the most effective marketing methods for your business.

Another reason a small business marketing plan is important is because the more effective methods you have to market your business, the more people will be able to find your business. You want to put together a marketing plan that utilizes five to seven different methods for marketing your business.

These should include using the internet:

- email marketing

- article marketing

- blogging

- social media

- search engine optimization

- social bookmarking

- social networking

- pay per click advertising
