This is an mlm network marketing article. I want to talk about a change I made yesterday on my network marketing website. Yesterday I decided to promote Success University as my “Top Pick” for the best network marketing business in 2007. I removed the link to the Plugin Profit Site.

Here’s why I did that. First of all the Plugin Profit Site is not a true mlm program. It is really an affiliate program that combines network marketing and affiliate marketing. I personally believe it is a great way to get started making money on the internet. One problem that people who join an mlm business have is they do not get their own website from the company they join.

They get a replicated website. That means it is a company website with your i.d. number. You can not make changes to it. You have no control about what is on it. It is what it is. In many cases there is not even a follow up system in place. You drive traffic to your mlm website, they look at your site, then one of 3 things happen.

1. They leave
2. They bookmark it to come back to later
3. They join your business

Another problem with this is you do not get to pre-sell your network marketing opportunity. What I mean is you do not get to put your personal perspective on it for people to read. If you site is the same as everyone else how do you differentiate yourself from them?

Better yet is get your own landing page website. This can be a one page website where you explain your reasons why this is such a great opportunity. Then you offer a free report or series of email messages that give some valuable information about multi level marketing in general. To get this information your visitor gives you their name and email address.

Once they submit that they are put in your autoresponder which is an automated follow up system that delivers your email to your visitor. This allows you to follow up over and over. You are now developing a relationship with you visitor. If you believe a person needs up to 12 times to see your business before they join then you know the importance of doing it this way.

Back to my original point I have added Success University as my “”Top Pick” because they are a true mlm business. They do have a capture form and they do follow up for you. They also email you your prospects name and email address so you can follow up. Your website is a one page landing page that gives away a free copy of a great book “Think And Grow Rich” by email.

So your job is to promote your landing page and as people give out their name and email address they will be followed up for you. Success University is an internet based membership training product which I love as a business opportunity. No shipping, no collecting, no commission checks to mail your downline, and all training is provided online and by conference call.

This really allows you to focus on traffic. Using anything from a free traffic exchange to article writing and social marketing to get traffic to your landing page. Anyone can do this if they work.
