Greetings from Hawaii. We are staying at “The Point on Poipu” on the south shore in Kauai. Boy this is a nice place and we are having a great time. This morning I got up and decided to work online a little today. Over in the forum at Associates Programs I was reading a post about learning how to do internet marketing. Here is my reply to that:

For me there are several things that affect my learning curve. My age for one. I am 48 and I guess my hard drive is full when it comes to comprehending and remembering everything.

Another would be aptitude. I have a very good aptitude for internet marketint. I have a terrible aptitude for things like working on my car.

Interest level. The hours seem to fly by when I am learning something that interests me. They seem to drag on forever when I have to learn something. Getting my life and health insurance license comes to mind. What a long boring time that was.

Consistency is another. Learning internet marketing has to be done on a consistent basis. Things change all of the time. Working in spurts does not work online. Otherwise you forget what you have learned and never get any momentum going.

Lastly Allan is right as usual. My advice is start in a niche other than internet marketing itself. The same with porn or gambling. The more competitive the niche the harder it is to break in to and to learn how to make money in it.
