Jessica over in the Plugin Profit Site forum asked a good question. She is getting ready to have a baby and wondered what she should do to not lose the momentum here business is gaining. We all need to take time off of our businesses for various reasons. Maybe a death in the family, or a surgery we are having done. Or how about a long vacation. We could all use that. With the holidays here some of you may be gone for awhile as well.

Anyway here is my reply to her question.

“Jessica this is a really good question that a lot of people have for various reasons.

How do you take time off from your business without losing the momentum you have in your business?

If it was me I would do 6 things.

1. I would pre-write or hire someone to pre-write 10 articles and submit them to ArticleMarketer.com and set the dates for them to submit them to the various directories 3 days apart. This way you would have 30 days of fresh articles going out with your bio box.

If you do not use an article submission service you may want to start!

2. I would pre-write several short blog posts around the content of my articles and set them to post 1 day after the articles go out. I would be sure and include a link back to my home page from my blog and from my blog to my home page to keep the search engines spidering my website.

3. I would create a frequently asked question (FAQ) page on my site
to answer the most common questions people have.

4. I would set my email to automatically announce that I am off for awhile and the reason why. Give them the email address, on an emergency only basis, of someone to help you out while you are off.

5. Hook up with a friend or business partner to handle those absolutely have to reply to ASAP emergency emails.

6. If it is PIPS related refer them to this forum or Stone’s new email campaign to get their questions answered.

Lastly enjoy the birth of your child knowing your business will still grow while you are away.”
