Email marketing is one of the best ways to make money online.

I say this from a position of experience.

I focus on building a list from the traffic I get everyday because I do not like wasting it.

Most of you really don’t understand the basics of getting started. Here are the basics of easy email list building.

1. Cheap autoresponder. You can get an autoresponder for less than $20 a month.I personally use Aweber.

2. Sign up form. You should put the sign-up form on all of your webpages. Keep this above the fold where people can find it.

3. Freebie. Offer something for free that entices somebody to give you their name and email address. Keep it relevant to the theme of your Internet business.

4. Splash page. This is a single webpage you can promote that will have your sign-up form on it. You can promote this as opposed to promoting your website home page. He is a sample of my JV With Jeff sign-up page.

5. Promote. Use as many free and paid advertising methods as possible to promote your splash page. Traffic exchanges are good for this.

6. Hire a writer. I think it’s a good idea for most Internet marketers to pay somebody to write their autoresponder messages..

Finally gradually start to offer your products and services. Never be afraid to mail an offer to your list. If people unsubscribe because you do that you do not want them on your list anyway.
