Can I Really Make Money Online
Probably the number one question I get every week is “how do I make money?” I want to rephrase that to what it should say, “can I make money online?” Here is why I am saying that.
My Team-Schuman.com website is a site that is built around the theme of make money online and make money at home. This would include such things as home business, Internet marketing, article marketing, email marketing, promoting on the Internet which is really all about getting traffic, blogging, paid surveys, network marketing, pay per click advertising, search engine optimization and just about anything that could help a person make money.
After working online now for almost 5 years here is what I have learned. I have just listed a very big list of things I try and cover. This is exactly why most of you will never make any money online. Not to be mean, but maybe no one has ever said that to you.
If you really want to make money online you are going to have to learn a few things. Do you need to learn everything I listed above? NO! But you have to learn something.
If you would pick one way to market on the Internet, for example, then you could make money over and over no matter what the product was. Read that again. Pick one way to market online and master it.
For me that was article marketing because I understood that people were going online for answers to questions. Once I understood the questions I have tried to provide the answers. Some of you may not like to write. How about hiring an website writer? We started a company to do that.
Can I Really Make Money Online?
Yes, but you probably will not! OUCH, that has to hurt. Not only will you not learn one way to market online, you will not put in the effort it is going to take. Even getting paid to fill out surveys online takes a lot of work to get it going. I am amazed at the number of people who complain about how much time they have wasted trying to make money filling out surveys.
In reality they may have spent a few hours and then gave up. It does not matter what you do to make money online you are going to have to work your butt off period. There is this little thing called a learning curve and most of you will never understand that.
OUCH again. I am serious. If you really want to answer the question of whether you can really make money online you need to be honest with yourself. What do you know how to do right now? If I put you in a room with 100 people and I was only going to choose 3 people to work with for the next year, why should I choose you!
You are probably going to say a bunch of crap like I am a hard worker, I need money for blah..blah…blah, I want to quit my job. etc.
Think again. You just described what millions of people say. This is not why I should hire you. This is why you want to be hired. I am looking for answers like I am one of the best bloggers in the world, I am an excellent writer, I know how to do affiliate marketing, I have mastered basic search engine optimization principles, I know how to set up an email campaign in an autoresponder, etc, etc.
Do you understand the difference? These are skills that when you understand how to do you can answer the question, can I really make money online, with a resounding YES!
Will you? Again the statistics say you will not because it is too hard. I hope that is not you. 95 out of 100 people who go online to make money never make any.
I recently joined My Power Mall and wrote an article “My Power Mall-10 Reasons To Get One” which talks about an easy way anyone can make money online. I encourage you to join for free and then actually work at learning how to market it online. Then when someone asks you “can I really make money online?” tell them about your success!
If not this then find something else, learn how to market it, and then do it.

You’re exactly right Jeff. Far too many people are looking for a “get rich quick” program. They think they can make money with very little work. While I guess it’s possible to get lucky every now and then, 99% of the time, you’re not going to make money without learning and working.

I completely agree with you!
I have worked my butt off the last 12 months learning everything I can online to try and put my passion to good use. My passion, and my goal, is helping sahms make it on one income. But in order to help moms, I had to do a lot more work than I realized!
Being online, successfully, takes knowledge, perseverance, and creativity. And it takes WORK! I get so frustrated when I see people sign up for a company and do nothing, expecting it to “happen around them”! You can make it online, but it is not easy. You constantly need to gain new knowledge, expand your education, and be willing to change.

I mostly agree with just about all of your comments about the percentage of people who will never make money online.And as far as promoting the powermall which I think could be a great opportunity for people to join I myself will not benifit as much as some people.How could this be you might ask.Well for one thing my wife and I just do not purchase products and the other thing is that we are not in position to be able to afford any investment money which it does take in order to get started building a contact list as well as some of the other things that are required in order to have a chance to make money on line.
But to all that read this comment.I have known Jeff for about three years now and all of the programs that he promotes are all potentionally good and Jeff knows his buisness very well.I incourage all that with just a small investment you should be able to do well using his mentoring.Good luck to all

Never have truer words been spoken, Jeff. As I tell my SFI affiliates, you don’t have to invest money, but you have to invest time and passion! You have to treat it like a business, and seek out help when you start to falter. It’s out there (I know, I’ve come to you a few times!) and if you’re not involved with a company that provides support, dump it.

Hey Jeff great post, and there are plenty of opportunities online if people would take the time to learn basic Internet marketing and there are plenty of us online willing to help them.
Thanks to you I am pulling in half of my mortgage payment helping others learn how to blog. It just takes time and patience.

Very realistic, I am a qualified person in other areas like in electronics but not in this “online” business. It has always been my dream though. But this does not mean that I’m gonna give it up!
