Blog Content Ideas

One problem people face when they get their blog up and running is what to write about. If you do not blog on a daily basis it is a little easier to come up with ideas because you have fewer ideas to come up with. If you do blog everyday coming up with fresh ideas can become a problem.
Here are some more ideas you can use for blog content as given to us by Stone Evans in his free ebook on how to make money online: Dotcomology
Interviews
These are great opportunities for joint ventures. You don’t have to interview a competitor, but you can probably find people who work in related fields or clients who have used your product in a unique way. Just drop them an email and ask if they want to participate (and seeing as they’re getting free publicity for their business, why shouldn’t they?). You can even do the interview by email.
News
You probably already read the newspapers and magazines that relate to your businesses. They’re going to be full of great content that you can use in your own newsletter. Obviously, you can’t just paste them into your newsletter and send them out, but you can report what other people are reporting, provided you give due credit. Heck, you probably notice that other people do it all the time. How many times have you seen phrases like, “according to AP” or “Reuters reports that” in the mainstream media? If it’s enough for CNN, it’s good enough for you.
Talk to Your Customers
One of the best ways to guarantee that your newsletter or blog will be read by your subscribers is to invite them to write in with their questions. You could devote a section to a Q&A column. You’ll have to be careful with privacy. Feel free to edit what they write so that it flows better, but don’t be afraid to let your readers speak straight to you. It’s the best way to come across as an expert and provide advice that you know they’ll find valuable.
Let me add one thing here as well. For my Team-Schuman blog I get many ideas from discussion forums. I have joined and participate in several internet marketing forums. To get ideas for your blog just look at the questions people are asking in the forum and read some of the replies.
You can very quickly see a popular topic and come up with a blog article. These do not have to be 500-1000 word masterpieces either. Just a couple hundred words can offer value to your readers and keep your blog fresh with article people want to read.
One other idea for blog content. Get a private label content membership from a company like InfoGoRound and use their content to post in your blog. You can use it as is or do a quick rewrite to make it more unique. You will never run out of things to post and you can quickly post daily giving you an advantage with the search engines over your competition.

Jeff,
I haven’t read Dotcomology in a while and I should revisit it some time soon. I get so caught up in promoting it or trying to give it away for free I forget that it is a great resource and a wealth of information for blog content. What a better way to promote it! Thanks for the great tips.

This is great advice, Jeff — I too have gotten many of my blog topics from Warrior Forum, and lots of tips to pass along to my affiliates. I have not yet used InfoGoRound, but just went and checked it out and there is a ton of good content there.
Thanks Jeff!!

Great post Jeff. As you know I just started getting serious with my blog a few months back. There are definitely times when I just can’t think of anything interesting to post about. That’s when I turn to the forums, news sites etc. There are so many great resources out there to find ideas that many people just don’t think about.

Hi Jeff! Very nice post you made about blog content ideas, I totally agree with you about that it is hard to find something interesting to write about on a daily basis. It is important to have fresh unique content on your blog that interests people, but how to come up with it regularly? Could pre-written articles be the answer, and modification?
Thanks,
Tom Lindstrom
