Here is an affiliate marketing tip that every affiliate should use to build a foundation for their affiliate marketing business. I was just reading a post over at the Associate Programs Forum and the question was “When is my job as an affiliate done?”

I think that is a very interesting question and so were some of the replies. People said things like you’re job is done when you make the sale, or when you get the click, or whenever you want it to be because you are your own boss.

All of these are right, but one reply stuck out because it was exactly how I replied. Your job as an affiliate is never done if you believe in list building. Building a list is all about driving traffic to your web page, a landing page, or even directly to an autoresponder. You goal is to capture a name and email address for future follow-up.

Then you keep your list active by marketing to it. Publishing a newsletter is one way to keep in touch with your list. So is sending out an email letting your list know you just made a blog post containing some valuable information. Updating your list about a new product is always a good idea. You get the point. This is a good affiliate marketing tip because anyone trying to make money online with affiliate marketing should be including list building as a major strategy for future success. Keeping this in mind your job as an affiliate is never really done. And that is a good thing!
