I mostly post my articles in my blog now and then ping them. I have a Word Press Blog which has worked great for me. I am hooking up with Jeff Houdyschell to set up blogs for people who need them. The other thing I do now is I social bookmark my articles using Only Wire. You can quickly get your articles all over the web using this handy website. You have to join 15 social networks and then when you post your article in your WP Blog you can submit it to all 15 networks with one click. Very handy.

Digging your article is a good idea: http://digg.com/. I do that when I submit my articles to Idea Marketers and Associated Content. I have found Google loves these and if you put long tail keyword phrases in your title you can get on page one of Google very quickly for that keyword phrase.

Getting your articles online is a great way to creat traffic for years to come. It is also a great way to build traffic through the search engines when you get them in the right directories and social bookmarking websites.

One last thing. If you are 18 years old and live in the United States you can submit your articles to Associated Content and get paid for them if you are willing to put them up for sale. You can do that as non exclusive and still use the article for yourself. I see no problem with this as long as you are only submitting it to 10 or less directories:
